The Minor League tryout for new athletes.
Coaches evaluate athletes who are new, unevaluated, or evaluated White, and decide whether she is ready for Minor League play. Athletes at Yellow or higher join the league. Newer athletes are invited to All-Skills Fundamentals first. $10 plus GST, and free if she is already registered for the Fall season.

About This Program
Girls Minor League Tryouts is the Minor League tryout for girls in grades 5 to 12 who are new to Volleybox, never evaluated, or evaluated White. It is where coaches set her level and decide whether she is ready for league play. It runs at Volleybox Sports Centre, our private 6-court volleyball facility in Surrey, BC, on the Cloverdale and Langley border near Clayton.
What happens that evening
One 60-minute evaluation. Coaches watch passing, serving, hitting and game sense, set her evaluation level, and decide whether she is ready for league play. An athlete still learning the basics starts in All-Skills Fundamentals instead, and is set up to join the league the following season.
There is nothing to prepare. Indoor court shoes, a water bottle and comfortable athletic clothes.

One evening, Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Two time slots: grades 7 to 12 at 7:15 PM, grades 5 and 6 at 6:00 PM. The tryout is $10 plus GST. Free if she is already registered for the Fall season.
Why Volleybox
All Volleybox programs are designed, coached, and run in-house by our staff. We do not rent gyms or contract out our coaching. Families in Surrey, Langley, Cloverdale, Clayton, White Rock, and the broader Lower Mainland train at one facility. Levels run White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, then Black.

What should my athlete bring?
Indoor court shoes with non-marking soles, a water bottle, and comfortable athletic clothes. Knee pads are optional. We provide all volleyballs and equipment.
