Delete your
Volleybox app account

You can delete your Volleybox app account yourself, inside the app. If you cannot open the app, you can ask us by email. Both ways are below.

Delete it in the app

1Open the Volleybox app.
2Tap the Me tab at the bottom of the screen.
3Scroll down and tap “Delete my account”.
4Tap Delete to confirm.

That is all. It is done right away. You do not need to email us first.

Ask us by email instead

Use this if you cannot open the app, or you have already signed out.

Subject: Delete my app account

Send it from: the email address on your account, so we know it is you.

Include: your 6-digit family code, if you have it. It helps us find the right account.

We delete the account as soon as we can and email you back when it is done.

What we delete

Your app sign-in on this phone. The app on this phone stops knowing who you are.
The link between this phone and your family record.
Notifications to this phone. They stop.
Team chats on this phone.

Other phones in your family keep working. To remove every phone, tap “Delete my account” on each one.

Your 6-digit family code still works. You can set the app up again later with the same code.

What we keep

Your registrations.
Your payments and receipts.
Waivers you have signed.

We keep these because they are our business records. Messages you already sent to a team chat stay in that chat, unless you ask us to delete your family's information (below).

If you want those records removed as well, say so in your email to hello@volleybox.ca and a person will write back to you.

Delete your child's or your family's information

Sign in to your account on this website and choose “Delete my child's information” or “Delete our family's information”. Volleybox confirms the request and deletes:

Hangout posts and comments.
Messages they wrote.
Rep It Out videos and playlist songs.
Headshots, jersey photos and film room videos.
Medical notes and staff notes.
Evaluations, skills and attendance.
Their app sign-in, code and devices.
Volunteer applications sent with their email.

For a family, it also deletes the messages, chats and emails you sent us, your phone number, your address and your app sign-in. We keep only your registrations, payments, signed waivers and incident reports, with your child's name and your name and email on those records only, because the law asks us to keep them.
