Our Volleyball Bootcamps are designed for advanced or high-performance female athletes in grades 9-12 looking to enhance their skills and elevate their game. Each bootcamp offers intensive, position-specific training sessions led by experienced coaches. Through fast-paced repetition, competitive scenarios, and expert guidance, athletes will refine their techniques and gain a competitive edge.  

This year, we are offering two specialized bootcamps:

  • Setters & Hitters Bootcamp: This bootcamp focuses on developing both individual positional mastery and collaborative offensive strategies for setters and hitters.

  • Pass & Dig Bootcamp: This bootcamp provides intensive training in all aspects of serve receive and defensive skills.

Program Details:

This program will run on Sundays.

Bootcamp Descriptions

Setters & Hitters Bootcamp

This bootcamp is designed for advanced female athletes in grades 9-12 who are looking to refine their setting and hitting techniques and develop a deeper understanding of offensive strategies.

Individual Positional Training:

  • Setters:

    • Footwork: Mastering precise foot positioning to ensure accurate sets.

    • Hand Positioning: Developing consistent and effective hand placement for optimal ball control.

    • Release Speed: Enhancing the speed and fluidity of set releases to improve timing with hitters.

    • Consistency: Achieving reliable and repeatable sets through rigorous, repetitive drills.

    • Decision-Making: Improving court awareness and decision-making abilities to run an effective offense.

  • Hitters (Outside & Middle):

    • Footwork: Developing precise and powerful approach steps to maximize jump height and hitting power.

    • Arm Swing Mechanics: Refining arm swing techniques for optimal power, speed, and accuracy in attacks.

    • Shot Selection: Expanding shot selection and learning to hit different angles and spots on the court.

    • Blocking: Mastering blocking techniques for both outside and middle hitters, including timing, footwork, and hand positioning.

Collaborative Training:

  • Setter-Hitter Connection:

    • Tempo and Timing: Developing a strong connection between setters and hitters, focusing on tempo, timing, and rhythm.

    • Offensive Systems: Learning and executing various offensive systems and plays.

    • Communication: Improving communication between setters and hitters to optimize offensive efficiency.

    • Competitive Scenarios: Applying learned skills in game-like scenarios to build confidence and court awareness.

Our experienced coaches provide personalized feedback and expert instruction, ensuring each athlete receives maximum repetitions and refines their technique to perfection. This bootcamp is ideal for setters and hitters committed to elevating their offensive game and achieving technical excellence.

Pass & Dig Bootcamp

This bootcamp is designed for advanced female athletes in grades 9-12 who want to become a defensive force on the court. Athletes will develop the skills necessary to excel in both serve receive and defensive situations.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Serve Receive:

    • Footwork: Developing precise and agile footwork to position correctly for various types of serves.

    • Platform Angle: Enhancing control over platform angle to ensure accurate and consistent passes.

    • Ball Control: Improving the ability to handle and direct serves with precision.

    • Reading Serves: Practicing the anticipation and recognition of different serve types and trajectories.

    • Communication: Emphasizing effective communication with teammates to ensure seamless transitions.

  • Defense:

    • Digging: Mastering the technique and positioning to effectively dig hard-driven balls.

    • Footwork: Developing quick and efficient footwork to cover more court area.

    • Ball Control: Enhancing the ability to control and direct the ball accurately during defensive plays.

    • Court Awareness: Practicing positioning and movement to anticipate and react to opponents’ attacks.

    • Reading Hitters: Learning to read hitters and anticipate their shot selection.

Our experienced coaches provide personalized feedback and expert instruction, ensuring each athlete gets maximum repetitions and refines their defensive techniques. This bootcamp is perfect for athletes dedicated to becoming reliable, resilient, and effective in all defensive situations.

  • At the Volleybox Sports Centre we pride ourselves in being more than just a volleyball facility. We provide fun and engaging volleyball experiences for athletes of all ages.

    External rentals are not apart of the services that we regularly offer.

    With that said if you are in an emergency, and your teams gym time has been canceled give us a call and we will try our very best to squeeze you in.

  • Classes, Camps, and Clinics

    Withdrawal Before Program Start: If an athlete chooses to withdraw before the program has started, they will receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.

    Withdrawal After Program Start: If an athlete chooses to withdraw after the program has started, they will receive a credit for future programs, minus a $50 administrative fee.

    Mini League, Minor League, and Train & Play Athlete Withdrawal

    Withdrawal Before Program Start: If a player chooses to withdraw before the program has started, they will receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.

    Withdrawal After Program Start: Once the program has started, there will be no refunds or credits for withdrawal.

    Program Closure Due to Public Health Emergencies

    In the event that a program must be shut down due to a public health emergency, such as a pandemic or similar situation, participants will receive a credit for the remaining sessions. This credit can be used for future programs that are permitted under health authority guidelines or at a later time when activities are allowed to resume.

    Cancellation Due to External Factors

    In the event of external factors causing sessions to be canceled (e.g., inclement weather, power outage, facility malfunction), Volleybox Sports Centre will make every effort to reschedule the missed session. If the session cannot be rescheduled, a pro-rated credit will be issued for the missed session.

  • The Volleybox is a non-spectating facility. Parents, friends and family are not permitted in the facility during training hours. For special events like Parent Appreciation Nights we will notify families ahead of time when you are welcome to join your athlete!

  • Our Athlete Development System is designed to motivate, challenge, and reward athletes at every stage of their journey. This program offers a clear path of progression while allowing our coaches to better track and support each athlete's growth. Click here to learn more.
