Lead Coach: AVERY HEPPELL

Avery Heppell is one of Canada’s most accomplished and inspiring volleyball athletes. A standout middle blocker, she has competed at every level of the game - collegiate, national, and international - with consistent excellence.

A U SPORTS National Champion and Championship MVP, Avery led Trinity Western University to a historic title, earning recognition as a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian and a Canada West First Team All-Star. Her dominant play at the net and relentless work ethic earned her national acclaim, while her leadership and competitive drive made her a cornerstone of TWU’s program.

Avery is currently a member of Team Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team, representing the country at prestigious events like the FIVB Volleyball Nations League and Olympic Qualification Tournaments. She also plays professionally in Europe as a starting middle for S.L. Benfica in Portugal, where she continues to make an impact in international club play.

Eligibility:

  • Female athletes in Grades 9–12 who have received an invitation

  • Or athletes with a Blue, Red, or Black designation in our Athlete Development Pathway

  • If you haven’t been evaluated but would like to attend, please email maggie@volleybox.ca with a summary of your playing and training experience from the past 12 months. Be sure to write your email in bullet point form, including key details like your grade, club team, positions played, and any recent training or competition experience.
