Nobody is cut. Every registered athlete is placed on a team. Every athlete new to Volleybox attends the tryout on Tuesday, September 8: it is where coaches set their level, and it is free once they are registered.

Girls Minor League

Grades 5 to 12. A practice every week, Saturday games in grades 5 to 8 and Friday nights in grades 9 to 12.

Boys Minor League

Grades 5 to 8. A practice every week and 12 game days on Sundays.

Three girls divisions and two boys divisions, each with its own price, practice and game day

Divisions are grade brackets. Use the grade she starts this September.

Division 1

Girls Grades 5 & 6

Introduction to competitive play with age-appropriate skill development

Price: $545 plus GST
Practice: Tue, Wed or Thu, 70 minutes
Games: Saturdays

Division 2

Girls Grades 7 & 8

Intermediate competition with structured team play and strategy

Price: $685 plus GST
Practice: Tue, Wed or Thu, 90 minutes
Games: Saturdays

Division 3

Girls Grades 9 to 12

Advanced competition preparing athletes for high school and club volleyball

Price: $685 plus GST
Practice: Tue, Wed or Thu, 90 minutes
Games: Friday nights

Boys Grades 5 & 6

The boys league, played on Sundays. A deposit reserves his spot today

Each team practices once per week. You can indicate your preferred practice day during registration. We do our best to accommodate preferences while balancing team formation and court availability.

Grades 5 and 6: 70-minute practice, Tue, Wed or Thu
Grades 7 to 12: 90-minute practice, Tue, Wed or Thu

Every league game is 1.5 hours

These practice times are tentative and always subject to change. Start and end times may fluctuate based on scheduling needs.

One 1.5 hour league game scheduled weekly for each division

1.5 hour game window, exact times vary weekly

1.5 hour game window, exact times vary weekly

The final weekend is tournament style: girls grades 9 to 12 on Friday, December 11, girls grades 5 to 8 on Saturday, December 12, and boys on Sunday, December 13.

Plan for your athlete to be available all day on their division's final game day. Exact times come with the schedule.

First time with us? Register for the division, then bring your athlete to the new athlete tryout on Tuesday, September 8. Every new athlete attends: it is where coaches set their level before teams are formed. Free once registered, and nobody is cut.

Returning Players

Played in a previous Minor League season? Register directly. Returning players skip the tryout, unless the athlete is playing up into grades 9 to 12.

Playing Up to Grades 9 to 12

Divisions are grade brackets, not skill levels. Want to play up into grades 9 to 12? Register for the division she wants, then attend the tryout on Tuesday, September 8. Playing up into grades 9 to 12 requires the tryout.

Levels run White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, then Black. Coaches place every athlete at their level. New players start at White. You never have to guess.

Girls grades 5 and 6: $545 plus GST

Boys pay $157.50 ($150 plus GST) today, and the $414.75 balance follows by emailed payment link once the division is confirmed.

Optional add-on. Players on a Minor League team can add a weekly All-Skills class for $45 a month instead of the usual $95 a month. Offered as a tick box at checkout when you register for Minor League, or anytime after from your account page. Not included in the season price.

Parents are welcome to volunteer coach. No coaching experience? No problem. We provide complete practice plans and ongoing support so you can focus on what matters, creating a positive experience for the athletes.
