Where teammates become friends and confidence comes to play. Every athlete joins a team of her own, with coaches who know her name and games her family can come watch, in a fun, supportive league at our facility in Surrey. This is where girls fall in love with volleyball.

Three age-based girls volleyball divisions designed for appropriate skill development and competition in Surrey and Langley. Find your athlete's division below.
Girls Grades 5 & 6
Introduction to competitive volleyball with age-appropriate skill development and a focus on fundamentals for younger girls.
Girls Grades 7 & 8
Intermediate competition with structured team play, positional training, and strategic development.
Girls Grades 9 to 12
Advanced volleyball competition preparing athletes for high school and club teams with higher-level coaching in Surrey.

How teams are formed
Grade 5 and 6 Division
One group, kept equalThere are no tiers here. Coaches build the rosters and keep every team as equal as possible, so every game is competitive.
Grade 7 and 8 Division
Two tiersAthletes advance at different paces, so this division plays in two tiers. Coaches use her current evaluation and the notes on her file to build the rosters.
Has she been away for a while? Her level may be out of date. Tell us when you register and coaches will update it at her first practice.
Grade 9 to 12 Division
Two tiersThis division plays in two tiers. Coaches build the rosters from each athlete's evaluation and keep the teams in each tier as equal as possible, so every game is competitive.

League Game Schedule
Every team plays one volleyball league game per week on a full court with trained referees at Volleybox Sports Centre. Family and friends are encouraged to come cheer.
Each team will have a 1.5 hour league game scheduled weekly between the above time slots.

Game days and times are tentative and always subject to change. They may fluctuate based on the number of teams and registrations we receive per division each season. Game times can be interchangeable within their allotted windows and may run earlier or later than what is displayed above.
All league games are played at Volleybox Sports Centre, 18733 52nd Avenue, Unit 104, Surrey, BC. Bleacher seating is first come, first served. Doors open 15 minutes before the first game.

The division price covers coaching, gym time, practices, and league play. The jersey deposit is the only other cost. You put a card on file in the first week and we do not charge it unless the jersey does not come back.

The last game day is a tournament, not a regular game. Plan for a longer day and mark the calendar.
The gym is closed for Thanksgiving weekend, October 9 to 12. No games that weekend, and it is not one of the 12.
The final weekend is tournament style. Grades 9 to 12 play Friday, December 11, and grades 5 to 8 play Saturday, December 12.
Plan for her to be available all day on her division's final game day. Exact times come with the schedule.

As you may know, finding volunteer coaches is one of the hardest parts of running any league and our volunteer coaches make this program possible. We do our best to ensure our coaches feel confident and supported.
No coaching experience? No problem. We provide complete practice plans and ongoing support so you can focus on what matters: creating a positive experience for the athletes.
Team coaches are parent volunteers, unpaid. We are deeply grateful for parents who step up and help us make this league possible for every athlete.

What is the Volleybox Minor League?
A girls volleyball house league for grades 5 to 12 in Surrey, BC. Teams practice once a week and play one league game a week. The Fall 2026 season is 13 team practices and 12 game days per division.
Does my daughter need volleyball experience to join?
Athletes with a Yellow or higher evaluation register directly. New, unevaluated, and White athletes register for the season and coaches see her at her first practices. If she is still learning the basics, she starts in All-Skills Fundamentals and joins the league once she is ready. Levels run White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, then Black.
Does she have to try out to make a team?
If she holds a Yellow or higher evaluation, no. She registers and coaches place her on a team. New, unevaluated, and White athletes register for the season and coaches see her at her first practices to confirm she is ready for league play. Athletes still building the basics start in All-Skills Fundamentals and join the league once they are ready.
Is it too late to register?
No. Teams are set and there is still room. Register now and our staff fit her on a team and email you before her first practice. Her practice night is the one you pick.
How do I know her level?
A camp or class evaluation counts, and it shows in her account. Levels run White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, then Black. No level there? Register for the season and coaches will set her level at her first practices.

Can I change or cancel after I register?
Registration is still open. Changes, refunds and credits closed on September 8, so a spot is final once you register. If Volleybox cancels a program or a division does not run, you receive a full refund with no fee, always.
Where is Minor League played?
All practices and league games take place at Volleybox Sports Centre, 18733 52nd Avenue, Unit 104, Surrey, BC. The facility is in the Cloverdale area on the Surrey-Langley border, near Clayton and just off Highway 10.
What age groups are available?
Three girls divisions, by grade.
